On the subject of the flag of the United States of America, the Scouting Handbook explains, “As the symbol of America, it stands for the past, present, and future of our country. It represents our people, our land, and our many ways of life.”

Every year, Troop 404 and 405’s sponsor, the Elks Lodge of Cranberry Township invites the troops to participate in a flag ceremony.  The troops participated in the flag ceremony today, and we had a great turn out.  The troop’s participation not only shows our appreciation for our sponsor, but it also instills pride in our country and flag for the scouts.
