Oil Creek State Park Campout

The scouts of 404 spent this weekend camping at Oil Creek State Park.  We had pretty good weather, except for passing night time thunderstorms.  Half the troop stayed in tents while the other half stayed in the Adirondacks.

The highlight of the camp was our visit to the Drake Well museum.  Did you know the Drake Well in Oil City, PA was the first commercial oil well in the USA, and possibly in the world?  The scouts learned that drilling for oil was developed at Drake well.
