The Rachel Carson Homestead challenge hike is a 20 mile hike starting at the Rachel Carson Homestead in Cheswick PA, and ending in North Park.  It’s no “hike in the park” as the scouts have to finish this hike in 1 day.  The scouts have had a hiking intensive year preparing for their planned 2026 trip to hike Philmont.
