Cooking Camporee

Our troop went to the Moraine Trails Council cooking camporee from September 29 to October 1, 2017 at Camp Agawam.  This was the troop’s last tent camping of the year.

In this outing, the scouts went to many different stations and completed multiple requirements for the cooking merit badge. The scouts also did many rank requirements. Three scouts did their orienteering requirement for first class.

One of the main highlights of the outing was cooking the meals. The scouts used teamwork to cook the meals as a troop. Every meal was delicious.  For the dinner on Saturday, all troops cooked one item each.  All troops brought their items to the dining hall, and we all shared the food.

The scouts also played games and had fun. It was a great campout.
