Relay for Life Service

This weekend, the scouts volunteered at the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life in Cranberry Twp.  They helped set up and break down the event, participated in the flag ceremony, and help light candles for the night time ceremony.

In order for scouts  to advance in the ranks, they are required to participate in service activities.  However, it is important for the scouts to learn that volunteering for service should be done out of compassion and a duty to the community, not for personal reward.
